PURPOSE
This small area game works on generating quick scoring opportunities off a zone transition and forechecking concepts.

HOW TO
- Nets set up cross ice. Outside the blue, one team (X) to the left half and one team (O) to the right. Coach in the in the middle with pucks.
- To start, three X and three O are in the right half. These 6 players play 3v3 with both teams trying to score on the same goalie.
- On the whistle coach dumps a puck into the other half, X team drops out from the right, O team shifts to the left, and 3 new X players join the right half.
- Play repeats here with 3v3 on the left half.
- On the whistle, coach spots a put to the right half, O team from the left drops out, X team attacks to the right, and three new O players jump in to the right.
- Pattern continues.
EXTEND
- Adjust number of players in the game
- Change the location of the nets, which changes attack concepts
- Add passing or shooting requirements (make 3 passes before shot, only backhand shots, etc.)
