Small Area 2v1 Games

PURPOSE

Forces passing, stick handling, and shooting in a small space. By placing one net in the corner, players are fighting for the same space. Two nets gets players searching for more open space and creates a little more transition.

VARIATIONS

• 1v1 or 3v3
• Add players incrementally by passing to their respective lines
• For corner version (AKA Corner War), have players start with puck on boards at their feet to practice getting out of a pin instead of throwing the puck in for a free for all battle. This also helps balance out faster skaters getting to the puck first.
